Six Measures to Solve the Overturning of Dockside Gantry Crane
Due to the special nature of its work and structure, industrial dockside gantry crane may overturn and endanger life due to improper operation and other reasons during operation. To prevent unnecessary injury caused by crane overturning, the following points should be noted when using.
1. The driving road and parking area should be flat and solid.
The underground soft soil layer and foundation pit need to be compacted and reinforced. The road surface should be flat and solid. When necessary, sleepers, roadbed boxes, or thick steel plate tracks should be laid on the walking parts of the crane.
2. The SEVENCRANE dockside gantry crane sling should be kept vertical and stable.
When the crane is vertical, the boom should be lifted, lowered, and rotated smoothly without shaking in the air. At the same time, it is important to avoid emergency braking or shock vibrations as much as possible. Overloading lifting of CE approved dockside gantry crane factory is strictly prohibited to avoid accelerating the wear and tear of mechanical parts and causing the crane to tip over.
3. Crane operators should take emergency measures:
During the lifting process, if the operation is interrupted due to power outage or mechanical failure, measures must be taken to handle it. And the components must not remain suspended for a long time.
4. When lifting a crane, a dedicated person should be responsible for unified command:
The commanding personnel should be located within the visual range of the operator and have a clear view of the entire lifting process. Crane drivers must be familiar with signals and operate according to various signals given by the commanding personnel. And comply with on-site procedures, obey orders and obey commands, and shall not leave the post without authorization. Command signals should be uniformly specified in advance, and the signals issued should be clear and accurate.
5. Multiple heavy duty dockside gantry crane suppliers working simultaneously should pay attention to maintaining distance:
When two or more lifting machinery are operating simultaneously, a safety distance of more than 5 meters should be maintained between the components suspended by the two lifting hooks to avoid collision accidents.
6. Cranes should avoid driving at full load:
When at or near full load, it is strictly prohibited to perform both lifting and turning actions simultaneously. To avoid overloading of cranes due to uneven roads or inertial forces, which may lead to overturning accidents.
