How to select the gantry crane

1.Main Girder

Different main girder structures have different bearing capacity. If 5 tons are often lifted, single girder gantry cranes with larger bearing capacity are selected to avoid overloading and unable to complete the operation.
If the budget is adequate, try to choose a larger lifting weight, which is a wise choice.
If the bearing capacity exceeds 20 tons, double beam gantry crane should be chosen as far as possible.

2.Span and elevation of main girder

According to the different use sites of gantry crane, we need to consider whether it is convenient to cross the car below, avoid occupying the space, leading to other inconveniences, but also very painful, after installation, it cannot be changed.

3.Cab

Before choosing and purchasing, it is necessary to consider the number of driving times. For safety reasons, it is better to have a cab, so that the operator can stand in the cab and watch the work site below, broaden the vision to increase safety, so as to avoid injuring other staff members by mistake after lifting.

4.Velocity Need Frequency Conversion

Frequency conversion is more energy-saving, safer operation and easier driving, but the cost is high. If the budget is insufficient, in order to save costs, we cannot consider it.

5.Trolleys and Electric Hoists

The lifting structure of each gantry crane is very important. Without good lifting or operation, the operation speed is slow and the carrying capacity is weak. If the carrying capacity is less than 20 tons, the car can choose European hoist; if the carrying capacity is more than 20 tons, it is necessary to choose the car with hoisting structure (suitable for the configuration of large tonnage or working grade A5 or above).

6.Work Level

For large-tonnage cranes, work level should be higher, such as A6 or even A7; for small-tonnage cranes, even if hoist is used as lifting mechanism, A3 work level can be selected, but considering the convenience of overseas customers for later maintenance, we recommend A4 or A5 work level.

7.Temperature

Local environmental temperature is also the key point to consider when purchasing gantry cranes. If the temperature exceeds 40 degrees Celsius, it is necessary to replace all the configurations with high temperature resistant ones, so the price will raise a lot.
