Steel Gantry Cranes for a Construction Company in Singapore
In August, we received an inquiry from a construction company in Singapore regarding our steel gantry cranes. The client needed these cranes for material handling within buildings that were unsuitable for large cranes. The cranes would be used by subcontractors and third-party contractors on construction sites.
After understanding the project requirements and usage scenarios, we provided the client with a quotation for three steel gantry cranes, along with detailed drawings. The client requested to see how the cranes would operate on rough terrain while lifting materials. In response, we shared a video demonstration showcasing the crane's performance in such conditions.
In early October, the client invited us for a video conference. During the meeting, we discussed payment terms, which were agreed as 40% T/T deposit and 60% T/T before shipment. We also made adjustments to the quotation based on additional information provided by the client, including updating the price and sending a quality certificate template.
The client requested a modification to the electric chain hoist. They preferred not to have the hoists operating but instead wanted to design the cranes with four lifting points per crane, secured by bolts. This setup would allow hoists to be attached at different lifting points depending on the work site and range. Our engineers quickly accommodated this request and revised the design accordingly.
After the meeting, we sent the updated quotation and revised drawings to the client, who then submitted the supplier registration form. We issued a Proforma Invoice (PI), and shortly after, we received the client’s deposit. Production of the cranes is currently underway, and the client is satisfied with the adjustments and professionalism demonstrated throughout the process.
This case highlights our flexibility in meeting client-specific requirements and ensuring the timely delivery of tailored lifting solutions.
